District Relocators Launches District Relocators Internet Technology Solutions

(press release distribution) District Relocators has been offering moving services in some shape or form since it’s initial inception in 2002. At the time, the company focused mainly on labor and transportation logistics. “Back then,” says CEO Corey Roberts “we were focused on doing exceptionally well in one core area; moving peoples stuff. IT was definitely a component of most small business, but it wasn’t quite as ubiquitous as it is now. We didn’t even have a website. But times have changed. Now everyone’s got servers and server farms and networks that need to be integrated and serviced,” says Roberts. “And when they move, all that stuff needs to be moved too.”

Almost a decade has passed, and with the advent of the internet and computer networking as an integral component of many small businesses, District Relocators’ clients have increasingly requested IT services as part of their office relocation package.
“Initially we were content to move our clients to their new places of business and leave the network integration and IT stuff to someone else,” says Jason Williamson, Partner and Vice President of Operations, “but it became increasingly apparent that we were missing an opportunity to bring added value to our clients by offering them these services, which have become a necessary part of the relocation process.”

So this spring District Relocators launched District Relocators Internet Technology Solutions (DRIT). Through strategic partnerships with DC based IT firms Accurate Conceptions and Wayne Enterprises, District Relocators has increased it’s ability to provide necessary supplemental IT services for all future office and commercial relocation clients.

Both firms have the capability to provide LAN/Network integration services, installation and support of audio visual and wireless equipment, low and high voltage cable installation, as well as infrastructure build-out services for new and retrofit buildings. But, says Williamson, what’s important isn’t how much they do, but how well it integrates with District Relocators’ core business.

“Accurate Conceptions and Wayne Enterprises both have extensive experience providing these necessary services to clients in both the government and private sector,” he says, “but what was most important to us was their ability to plan and implement improved networking solutions for our clients as a compliment to what we do.”

“In the end,” says Roberts, “we want to be able to service our clients needs from the very beginning of the relocation process through completion. And this will enable us to do just that.”
