Fuel is a resource that cannot be renewed which means eventually, at the rate we are consuming the earth’s fuel resources, we will have no more fuel. Quite a number of people see this and have been planning their shift to electric cars instead of gasoline cars. This electric car conversion is not as simple as 1-2-3, but then, neither is it as complicated as rocket science.
Some may venture to recommend hybrid cars, but these are astronomically expensive with no sign of it going down to a price many can afford. While that is still a dream for most of us, the electric car conversion is turning out to be the best alternative.
It’s really just recycling your gasoline car for a hybrid car – without buying a new car or spending x amount of dollars.
The advantages of having an electric conversion done to your gasoline car is that it will not pollute the earth like a gasoline or diesel vehicle can. Plus, if you convert, you are shifting to green energy, and green energy expenses are tax deductible or subject to tax refunds.
Other benefits include the 200 miles for one full charge on your electric car, and lower maintenance costs. You will also have a better ride which is more comfortable and quieter. No more of those gas guzzling rumbling or roaring noise. It may not go as fast as a gasoline car, but if you live in the city, you can[‘t really go fast anyway. If you live in the suburbs, there is always a speed limit as well. Traveling down a highway is not going to be a quick trip, but at least you get to enjoy the view. Otherwise, if you need to reach somewhere quickly, just take a bus, train, or plane.
You can actually do the electric conversion on your own, and it’s not as difficult as you may think it to be. Of course, you can pay a mechanic or a shop to do it for, but it will cost you more. The choice is not a major issue whether you have the money to spend or not. It’s really a matter of personal satisfaction and time constraints.
The point is you are moving in the right direction, and the sooner you get started, the less chances of being caught in the flurry of electric car conversions that will happen.
