(press release distribution) Small businesses practicing hyper-aggressive online marketing sales lead generation SEO tactics achieve growth now. Survey of over 350 small business owners finds companies practicing hyper-aggressive offline and online marketing sales leads generation tactics have actually achieved growth throughout the recession, and in the post-recession-era. The particular businesses surveyed claimed that they had achieved double digit growth annually using their lead generation tactics during the past 3-4 years. All of the businesses interviewed were services-based.
Although their numbers are small, both statistically and as a percentage of the overall sampling, the evidence is overwhelming. Practitioners of arguably creative and decidedly aggressive marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and sales leads generation techniques are realizing success and growth – and have been doing so for several years.
SEO Consultants have known many of these techniques for a while, and use them to good effect for their clients. What is most striking about the evidence resulting from this survey, however, is that, individually, a number of the small business owners interviewed had developed these techniques on their own, and were continually “pushing the envelope” – expanding the implementation of their techniques, and effectively dominating segments of the markets they operate in.
In virtually every case, the notable small business owners had achieved their successes by accepting low-levels of risk for experimentation, embracing processes of trial-and-error, and by identifying and building upon techniques and tactics they personally found rewarding for their bottom line.
Even though none of the business owners overtly stated this, they had all intuitively realized that what worked in the past was no longer viable. All but one of the successful businesses profiled had long since moved beyond traditional forms of print advertising. In lieu of print advertising they were all performing various forms of SEO – but not in the commonly-held notion of SEO.
The successful businesses had all learned, through trial-and-error, that getting prominent positioning in the search engines resulted in larger numbers of leads and sales. None of the small businesses had achieved results using paid advertising, although they had all tried.
One common trait among all of the success cases interviewed is this: They had all tired virtually every method of SEO, SEM, Online Advertising, Blogging, etc…But, when they found one technique that worked for their business, they worked feverishly to exploit it. All of these successful businesses were laser-focused on dominating their business niches (in their service areas). Examples of this include aggressive use of Google Places, organic search SEO, Video, and even Craigslist, for effective leads generation.
